How many points did I earn? May 2024 Points Update

Sharing is caring!

So, How many points did I earn?

One thing I wanted to make sure I do, as I explore traveling on points and miles is share how I accumulate my points and miles each month! So now that all of my credit cards, have closed and I have received their statements, I want to give my first update on where I stand. If you want to know what credit cards I have, check out this post.

If you have any questions about how I earned any of the points, let me know! I gave a description for how money was spent over the last month.

Current Standing as of May 2024

Chase Ultimate Rewards: 53,594, this was earned through a referral and spending on Amazon!

Delta Skymiles: 8,165, this was earned through spending. I need to put more focus on this card.

Bilt Rewards: 5,847, this is earned through rent and vending machine payments. I really have to stop snacking so much.

American Airlines: 8,166, I had previously transferred miles to American to book a trip to Houston but the trip is still not booked.

United: 3,770: I have had these for awhile. I do not often fly United as many of the flights I like for them are out of Newark.

Jetblue: 2,501: I did transfer some Chase Ultimate Reward points here but not much else. I will be flying them later this month and apparently I have 9 tiles! I use Jetblue mainly to fly to California.

American Express Membership Rewards: 100,915. This was earned through a sign-up bonus from the American Express Gold, spending and a payout from Rakuten.

Points Earning Goals for June

My goal for next month is to focus on both Delta Skymiles and Chase Ultimate Reward points. I have a few flights that I will need to book for upcoming Summer and Fall travel and will prioritize booking those using cash unless the deal is good. If you want to make it easier on knowing when to book using cash or points check out this post. My plan is to utilize my Delta Skymiles Platinum Credit Card for any Delta Flights and my American Express Gold or Chase Sapphire for my other flights. For any car bookings, I will use my Chase Sapphire. I plan on primarily booking hotels through Hilton or Hyatt.

I am focusing on Chase Ultimate Reward points because I want to cover a 40,000 point stay in Fort Lauderdale in the Fall and potentially another fall trip.

The only reason I am focusing on Delta Skymiles, is because I kind of want to keep my status, since it is my preferred airline for domestic travel.

I do have a trip in May, so that will help with increasing my points as well. Check out more about where I am heading in this post.

As of this moment, I do not think I will be opening any new cards for the month of June, if I do I will be sure to update.
