June Points Goal Follow-Up
How many points did I earn,

I focused on increasing my Chase Ultimate Rewards by relying heavily on my Amazon purchases and Restaurants to get that multiplier from Chase Freedom.

For Delta Skymiles, I did not spend much on this credit card. I need to do more spending so that I can at least earn silver status for 2025. I do have a few flights left to book for the summer and will try to prioritize Delta but sometimes they are twice the amounts of other airlines.

I did not open a card for June.

July Points Goal

In July, I am going to be going on two vacations! I am heading to Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in the Bahamas, if you want to know how I booked it check out this post. I will use a mix of my Chase Sapphire Preferred, American Express Gold, and Delta SkyMiles Platinum to cover excursions and food while on this trip since I am paying for my mom, niece, and myself. There is a high tax on food at the resort so I am sure I will accumulate all the points I need.

In addition, I am heading to Myrtle Beach and Houston. I will use a mix of credit cards to fund these trips and select based on the purchase.

I do not plan on opening a new card for July.

Let me know in the comments if you opened a new card to get points or did anything to get a substantial amount in June.

  6. This is very interesting and it’s only starting to catch on in Europe. I have opened one card (dipping my toe) and already found that new card is disadvantageous for spending in another currency, but I am learning… to this point I always spent my grocery shopping points in the book store, which was a nice treat, but I believe they can go a lot further if I upgrade hotels or upgrade flights on the long rund, although I don;t think there are as many benefits in Europe (yet)
