Yona Beach Club Phuket Review, The Floating Beach Club in Phuket

Ever wondered what it is like to spend the day at the world’s first floating beach club? Yona Beach Club is located just off the coast of Phuket and combines luxury vibes with ocean views, DJs, food, and photo ops, all on a floating barge. It is anchored in place, so while it is on the water, you are not drifting out to sea. Think of it as a floating oasis complete with a pool, cabanas, must-have cocktails, and full-service dining – all with stunning views.

I was a little hesitant at first because I was not sure if it was just another hyped up place or whether it would be a highlight of my trip. It turns out this is one of the places I now highly recommend every time someone mentions they are going to Phuket. During my visit, we did bottle service, sampled nearly everything on the menu (I’m still dreaming about that five-cheese pizza), and partied into the evening as the DJ got the crowd moving.

Whether you’re planning a girls’ trip, birthday splurge, or just want a unique beach day without the sand, here’s everything you need to know: from how much Yona Beach Club costs, to what the food is like, how to book it, and my honest review on whether it’s worth it.

How to get to Yona Beach Club?

A long, narrow dock with blue railings leads out to sea under a black sign that reads "Patong Jetty Docking Service" in white letters. The jetty extends over calm, shallow water with boats anchored nearby and lush green hills in the distance under a bright, partly cloudy sky.
Patong Boat Pier, Yona Beach Club Departure

Departure depends on the season:

  • From November 21, 2023, to April 21, 2024, Yona Beach Club’s departure is from Patong Boat Pier.
  • And from April 23, 2024, to November 17, 2024, Yona Beach Club’s departure is from Royal Phuket Marina.

You can take a taxi to the pier. Once you arrive at the Patong Pier, you are greeted with a drink while you wait for their shuttle to pick you up and take you over to the beach club.

Yona Beach Club is open daily from 9:30 am – 9 pm unless there is a private event.

Yes – Yona Beach Club has wifi, so you can upload your Instagram stories in real-time.

How much does Yona Beach Club Cost? Yona Beach Club Prices (Day Pass, Restaurant, Cabana)

The Yona Beach Club cost is dependent on how you book.

  • Yona Beach Club Day Pass: If you want a day pass that provides access to the bar, restaurant, and pool only, you can get a day pass for 3000 THB per person here. Your day pass includes a welcome drink, 1500 THB in food and beverage credit, along with towel service. However, you do not have access to seating. Yona Beach Club price per person: 3000 THB for a day pass
  • Yona Beach Club Restaurant: You can also make a reservation at the restaurant for 3000 THB per person and get 1500 THB in food and beverage credit, along with a welcome drink and access to the pool. Your reservation at the restaurant is for 2 hours, and then you can spend time at the pool. Yona Beach Club price per person: 3000 THB for restaurant reservations
  • Yona Beach Club Cabana Cost: Your third option, which is the one my group went with, is getting a section. They vary in price, and your food and beverage credit is dependent on how much the section you book. You can get more information about the sections here.

Since I wanted to have access to seating and not be tied down to a restaurant reservation, my group went with the cabana option, and I highly recommend getting a cabana at Yona Beach Club.

Is a Cabana Worth It at Yona Beach Club?

A neatly made cabana bed at Yona Beach Club sits on a wooden deck overlooking the water, framed by palm trees and topped with a macramé fringe canopy. Rolled white towels and neutral-toned pillows add a touch of luxury against the serene coastal backdrop.
Sunset Bed at Yona Beach Club

I would recommend a section at Yona Beach Club! We booked the sunset bed on the second floor, although we originally wanted the pool bed or small cabana on the first floor, but they were sold out for the day we planned to go there. Make sure you book your section early to guarantee you get what you want! Yona Beach Club’s price per person was $114 for the sunset bed on the second floor.

Your section comes with a food and beverage credit that you can use to buy items from the restaurant and bar. You can buy mixed drinks, bottles, and various food items from the menu. It also comes with a waiter/waitress so that you never have to leave your section to get things that you want!

What is the Yona Beach Club Dress Code?

A woman in a white bikini top and crochet skirt relaxes on a shaded beach cabana bed, with sunlight casting dappled patterns through the fringe canopy above. The setting overlooks calm blue water, creating a serene, tropical atmosphere, at Yona Beach Club

The Yona Beach Club dress code says smart casual. Most of the people there were dressed in swimwear with a cover-up or shorts and some sort of t-shirt.

I would recommend some sort of sandals as the ground can get wet from the pools.

Food & Drinks at Yona Beach Club: What We Tried and Loved

5 Cheese Pizza at Yona Beach Club from Yona Beach Club Food Menu
Yona Beach Club 5 Cheese Pizza

I enjoyed the food. If you want to see the Yona Beach Club food Menu, click here. My favorite was the grilled chicken quesadilla, which I am sure we had like 5 orders of.

We also had the hummus, spring rolls, calamari, and the Yona 5 Cheese Pizza pictured to the left. They were all really good, and I would recommend having food while you are there.

The Yona Beach Club Drink Menu can be found here. We did not order any drinks because we opted to get a bottle of Don Julio with our food and drink credit. With the bottle comes mixers, and you can add additional mixers as needed. We added a few that we liked.

My Honest Yona Beach Club Review

As you wait for the boat to Yona Beach Club, you are greeted with a welcome drink, a small detail that immediately sets the tone for the experience. The ride over is quick, and by the time you step onto the floating beach club, you already feel like you’re somewhere special.

We booked a cabana on the second floor, which gave us plenty of space to unwind with bottle service and food credit to burn. Early on, the vibe was laid back, lounging, and great service, with rounds of quesadillas and insanely good five cheese pizza. There was a mini pool at the top that I put my feet in for a little bit.

On the first floor was the big pool, which was great to lounge in and chat with friends.

As the sun dipped lower, everything shifted. The DJ turned it up, dancers came out, and it transformed into a party. The party was mainly on the bottom floor, with the DJ playing a mix of music, but mainly house music.

Yona Beach Club ended up being one of the highlights of my Phuket trip, and it is completely worth the time slot on your itinerary.

Is Yona Beach Club Worth It? My Final Thoughts

Absolutely. Between the music, food, vibe, and the unique floating setup, it was 100% worth it. As the sun set, the DJ turned things up, and dancers came out to really elevate the atmosphere. It felt like we were partying on our own private island.

If you’re looking for a luxury experience that’s equal parts chill and celebratory, Yona Beach Club is it.
