Baha Bay, The Water Park at Baha Mar
Family-Friendly things to do in the Bahamas, check out the water park at Baha Mar!
If you are staying at one of the Baha Mar properties, Grand Hyatt, Rosewood, or SLS then Baha Bay is part of your stay and is a great place to take your children or for you to have some fun. Baha Bay is a waterpark that has over 30 attractions including 24 slides, 2 uphill water coasters, a lazy river, an island for toddlers, and more. I would highly recommend you slot out a day for fun there.
1. What is Baha Bay?
Baha Bay is a water park that is located at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, SLS, and Rosewood.
It is open 10 am to 6 pm each day. If you get there before 10 am there will be a line gathering outside the gates.
2. How much does Baha Bay cost?
If you are staying at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, SLS, or Rosewood it is included in the cost of your stay. Otherwise, the cost is $65 or $160 depending on the height and age of the guest.
If you are staying at the resort, you do not need a reservation and can simply show up when you are ready and scan your wristband as you enter. However, I would encourage visitors to buy a pass early.
3. Is there food or other amenities at the waterpark?
Yes, there are a few food stands and places to grab drinks at the water park, specifically, I ate the Umiami one and enjoyed an Impossible burger. It was so good and I honestly want another one. My mom had the cobb salad and my niece had the chicken sandwich and they both enjoyed their food.
In addition, they provide life vests, towels, cubbies, and lockers for you to store your belongings while at the park. If you forget something, there are several stands where you can purchase covers for your phone, bags, sunscreen, and more.
Finally, you can also book cabanas. Check out the site to learn about which cabanas can be booked and their cost.
The Review
I had an amazing time at the Water Park with my family. We went to the lazy river the first day we went to the water park. You have the option of having a single-seater float or a double. You also have the option of just swimming in the river if you are interested. We saw a lot of kids doing that.
On the second day, we did more of the slides, wave pool, and the lazy river again. My niece loved the lazy river. We did the group slides together and I really had fun! The four-seater one got me drenched!
The wave pool was fun! It is not like a wave pool the entire time. You hear a siren and then the waves start. Make sure to stay away from the walls as the lifeguards will blow a whistle if you get close!
The surfing simulation had a long line. They teach you how to do it and if you pass you are able to go on the one beside it that is more advanced. However, you have to be able to stand, flip over and many other things before they let you graduate to the second simulation.
Conclusion
This was one of my favorite things I did while I stayed at the resort. I really enjoyed the river and being able to relax. The water slides were a good shock to me. I have not been on a water slide in years and these made me want to head to the Six Flags near me to check them out cause they made me feel young again! If you are in the Bahamas make sure to spend some time here with your family!

This looks so fun! You never really grow out of a good water park.
Lazy rivers are my favorite at water parks! Was the line long to enter for resort guests or do you recommend a reservation even if you’re staying there?
This sounds like a really fun thing to do. Great for kids of all ages!
It sounds so fun! I’m not much of a water person but I’m sure my nephew would love to stay here the next time we visit!
I’m glad you had a lovely time with your family! The lazy river, slides, and wave pool all sound fun 🙂
