Chase has announced its April 1- June 30, 2025 bonus categories for Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Flex. These categories allow you to earn a 5% bonus on spending for specific categories.

The Chase Q1 2025 Bonus Categories, January 1 – March 31, 2025, were Norwegian Cruise Lines, Grocery Stores (excluding Walmart and Target), Fitness Clubs and Gym Memberships, and Hair, Nails, and Spa Services. They did add insurance and tax preparation in February for a start date of March 1. Hopefully, you have already activated these as March 14, was the last day to get the elevated bonus points.

You need to activate the bonus categories and you can do that today! There are 6 ways to do that:

Email: check your email for activation
Chase Mobile App: log into the app to activate
Phone: call the number on the back of your card and a customer service rep can activate it for you.
Chase: you can speak to a teller to help you activate the categories.
ATM: If you are a Chase checking customer, you can activate the categories when withdrawing money.

Yes, more than likely it will be around June 14, 2025. It has not been published yet but based on the past quarter this is my estimate. All purchases must be posted to your accounts by June 30, 2025, to receive the additional bonus points/cashback.
