Sharing is caring!

Hotels near Disney World and Universal Studios, Orlando Hotels

Looking for hotels near Disney World but not in one of their resorts? Check out the Hilton Garden Inn Lake Buena Vista as a great budget-friendly alternative that is part of their Good Neighborhood program.

The Hilton Garden Inn Lake Buena Vista/Orlando is located 4 miles from Walt Disney World and 7 miles from Universal Studio. It is a great hotel to choose if you are heading to either of the parks. In addition, It is a pet-friendly hotel and if you are traveling with a large family, they have connecting rooms.

The Cost

We stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Lake Buena Vista/Orlando for 3 nights at the beginning of December arriving on a Saturday and leaving on a Tuesday. Our total cost was $553.59. We did book a month out so that could have contributed to the cost of the room. We paid for this with a credit card to make sure we were earning points for the stay that would cover a future vacation.

Amenities

This hotel has an on-site restaurant, pool, gym, laundry room and parking is available at cost. In addition, they offer a shuttle service to both parks, Disney World and Universal Studios. There is only one pick-up and drop-off time for each location so if you are interested you will need to plan accordingly.

We chose to take Uber and Lyft instead as we wanted to head to the parks earlier than what the shuttle was offering. Our Lyft and Uber were not expensive to and from the parks. They were all under $20.00 and most were under $15.00.

There is no shuttle service to/from the airport, so we took a Lyft to and from the airport which was about $30.00.

Overall Experience

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Lake Buena Vista/Orlando, a hotel near Disney World.

Upon arrival, I was able to check in early, so that I could head to Universal Studio where we were going to spend our first day.

Our room was a 2-bed and included both a microwave and fridge! It feels like so many hotels no longer have microwaves.

I used the gym in the morning and it was pretty empty in the morning, you are able to get in a pretty good workout using the cardio machines and/or the free weights on the other side of the gym. They have wipes to wipe down the machines.

In terms of the room, the beds were great and we were able to sleep through the night with no interruptions. The shower water was the perfect temperature and we were able to get extra towels and supplies as needed by calling room service.

Every staff member we interacted with was amazing and was able to handle any of the questions that we had during our stay.

If you are looking for budget-friendly hotels, near Disney, I would highly recommend staying here at the Hilton Garden Inn Lake Buena Vista. You get a hotel shuttle, parking and you are located close to Disney!
