Earning free hotel stays is a great way to travel for cheap! You can earn free nights at Hyatt with and without having a Hyatt Credit card! So if credit cards are not your thing, do not worry, keep reading. I earned my first free night with Hyatt without their credit card by staying at 5 different Hyatt Brands. How to earn the Free Night Award?
You can earn a free night at a Hyatt hotel in three ways.
One is to have the World of Hyatt Credit Card, which allows you to earn a free night award to stay at a Category 1-4 property.
Secondly, you can earn one by staying at five different Hyatt Brands, which earns you a certificate for a category 1-4 property.
Finally, by staying 30 nights, you receive a certificate for a category 1-4 property or if you stay 60 nights you receive a certificate for a category 1 -7 property.
Where to see your Free Night Award?
If you log on through the app, click on my account, and then at the top click on rewards! It will also provide information about the expiration date and where it can be used in the terms and conditions.
How to use the award?
When searching on the site and app you can apply your award to any booking where the hotel fits in category 1-4.
Can you combine the award with other currencies to pay for longer stays?
When you put in more than one date on the website and go to book, you will have the option to “Pay My Way.”
This will allow you to select an award, use points, pay chase, or use a combination of points + cash.
This allows for greater flexibility in using your awards when you do not have enough to cover the entire stay.
How to maximize your Free Night Award?
The best way to maximize free award nights is to use it during the holidays or when prices for the hotel you are interested in booking are high.
Can you gift the award?
Yes, you will need their Hyatt Membership # in addition to their Last name in order to transfer the award to them to use.
