How to use the Resy Credit on your American Express Credit Cards!
Resy x Amex: How does the Resy credit work?
American Express added several new benefits to their cards when they increased their fees this year! For their Delta co-branded cards, they added a Delta Stays credit and a Resy Credit. For their non-cobranded cards, they added a Dunkin’ credit, Resy Credit, and changed up their dining credit! These additions are to help offset the increase in fees on the card and if used, can make the cards worth it!
If you are not familiar with these changes, like the Delta Stays Credit or Dinning and Dunkin Credit, make sure to check them out to make sure you are using all of the benefits on your card.
What is Resy?
Resy is an online, free, restaurant reservation service that partners with over 16,000 restaurants worldwide. You can book reservations online or via the app.
Not all restaurants are available through the platform so you are going to want to peruse the site to see what restaurants are available in your area before heading to them. Resy is typically available in bigger cities so if you are not in a big city, this might be good to use on your travels but not when you travel internationally. The Resy credit is not available for use internationally.
How much is the Resy credit?
The amount of your Resy credit is dependent on which American Express card you have.
Card: | Amount: |
American Express Delta Platinum Card | up to $120 or $10 monthly |
American Express Delta Reserve Card | up to $240 or $20 monthly |
American Express Gold | up to $100 or $50 semi-annually |
How to use your Resy credit?
First, you need to enroll your cards by going to your American Express account and sign. Once you are signed in, head to the benefits hub to enroll in the Resy credit.
Next, Check out the Resy site to see what restaurants are available so that you can plan your visit! Keep in mind that if you do not use the benefit, it does not roll over each month. This is a great credit to use for a date night or to treat yourself monthly if you have one of the Delta Credit Cards!
You do not have to make a reservation to use the credit, you just have to pay with an American Express Card that has this benefit.
Conclusion
This is a great benefit for those who love to explore the culinary scene in their area or if you want to treat yourself each month! I need to do better with using it and will update you later this month when I use it.
