How to use your Delta Companion Certificate
Bogo flights! With the Delta Companion Pass, you can get a buy 1 get 1 free flight, minus the taxes! I have heard many times that many people do not use the pass, so I decided to make sure I used mine the first time I got it. Even some of my friends never use their pass. Since I am paying for it in my annual fee, I try to ensure I utilize all of the card’s benefits. I currently have the Companion Pass that only allows for Domestic Travel within the contiguous 48 states. Once my annual fee hits again, I will get the enhanced Companion Pass.

Yes! In order to do so, I would do a 3-way call with Delta.
How to book using the Companion Certificate?
To book using your companion pass, you can call Delta if you are having trouble finding available flights. I decided to look up flights myself.
- Go to book flights and add in your chosen route

You can use eCredits but not miles when booking with a companion pass.
The flight to the right shows my companion fare being booked.
The taxes for the Companion Pass were $39.70.
Since I only have the Delta Amex Platinum, I could only get a main cabin seat. I hope that I can get an upgrade to Comfort+ closer to the day!
I chose not to use my Ecredits to reduce costs.
Conclusion
If you want to combine multiple benefits, you could also utilize your Delta Stays Credit, to reduce the cost of your hotel stay for you and your companion. Make sure to use your companion pass when issues so that you can get the most out of your credit card benefits! Let me know if you have used it before in the comments.
