5 Exciting Things to Do in Curacao: Let’s Explore!
Curacao is an island you do not want to miss. From the beautiful beaches to the amazing drinks and photography spots. You are sure to have a lot to do while you are there. This post showcases a few things to make sure you include during your time there!
Things to do in Curacao.
1. Sunset Cruise
We booked our sunset cruise through Blue Finn Charters. The cost is $75 a person and includes drinks and bites.
You take off from Mood Beach Curacao and sail towards Sandals Resort at the end of the island. As you sail, they offer you drinks, fruit, chicken skewers, and pork sandwiches as you take in the views while listening to various musical selections played by the captain.
2. Distillery Tour
We booked the Curacao Liqueur Distillery for a 1-hour tour that cost $18 via Viator. For the tour, you head into the distillery and learn about how their liqueur came about.
You can touch the peels and see each of the machines that they use. They even show you how they dry out the peels and the different flavors they create.
Once the tour is over, they allow you to try three flavors. We tried chocolate, tamarin, and blue Curacao.
Finally, you end with a drink that you can order from their bar. I ordered a sunset and loved it.
3. NightLife
There are many places you can head to for nightlife on the island. We stopped by Bar P, but they wanted a cover charge so we skipped it. From what we could see it was packed.
On the next night, we headed to Liv but decided to wait because they were having a ladies’ night. While we waited we headed to Emporio and they were playing amazing music. We went back to Club Liv and enjoyed the music and drinks before heading home.
There are a few places people mentioned to use such as Zanzibar, that we did not have time to check out.
4. Head to the Beach
We spent a lot of time at the beach tanning and enjoying drinks.
Curacao is known for its beautiful beaches and I would recommend checking them out, if you rent a car, so that you can really explore all of them.
At the beach we were at we saw people paddle boarding, snorkeling, and relaxing in the sun!
5. Explore Willemstad
We spent some time the morning of our return flight exploring Willemstad. We head to the beautiful staircase and living room they have set up before heading to the Koningin Emma Bridge.
Please keep in mind that the Koningin Emma Bridge does move. I was a little shocked when we first stepped onto it to capture pictures and videos of us on it.
Next, we went to the Curacao and Dushi sign to capture a few more images before heading to a souvenir and ice cream shop.
I was not able to capture pictures of the Punta Love Heart but we did see them. Willemstad has a ton of great picture spots so I would recommend spending some time walking around and exploring!
Conclusion
Curacao is such a relaxing place. One of my favorite days was the beach day we did before we headed back to the hustle and bustle of New York. If you want to know How to Book Curacao on Points or How to Prepare for Your Trip To Curacao check out the linked post!
